Our Services
Our Philosophy
We want your horse to be safe, confidant, healthy, and happy. This is achieved by providing a lifestyle as close to his natural environment as possible. Your horse enjoys the company of a small herd in lush, green pastures.
For your horse's safety and health, we do not allow shoes. Our team of Barefoot Trimmers is out every three weeks to ensure healthy hoof growth and sound feet. Our plan may not be for every owner, but is designed for the happiness and contentment of the horse.
Several of our horses have lived happy and productive lives into their late thirties. The farm's matriarch, Freddie, was still giving lessons once a week at 42 years of age. Whether competitive, pleasure, or retired, we believe our plan will work for your horse.
Boarding
Full Board
Our horses are out as much as possible. During our South Carolina summers, your horse, if requested, can be brought into a fan-cooled stall. During the winter, your horse will be brought in for those long, frigid nights.
Pasture Board
If you prefer your horse to be out 24/7, our pastures contain either a run-in shed, or tree lines for shade and wind protection.
Stall or pasture, your horse will be fed twice a day with a quality grain and hay.
Lessons
Our lesson program is based upon the partnership between the horse and rider. Designed to keep individual goals in mind, the program emphasizes a relationship of trust and confidence between the horse and rider.
Students of this program have successfully achieved their goals of USDF Regional Champion, SCDCTA Champion and Reserve Champion, and National Champion in Gaited Dressage.
Show Facilities
Marston Plantation hosts six Dressage & Combined Training shows a year. Ample room allows plenty of space for two full-sized Dressage arenas (sand & grass), stadium jumping, warm-up, convenient trailer parking, and concessions.
